Leadership Scope & Impact

Organizational Leadership & Team Complexity

  • 20+ years of progressive leadership across nonprofit, community, education, and organizational environments.

  • 7+ years as COO & Vice President, with responsibility for organizational operations, personnel, governance implementation, policy, compliance, contracts, vendors, and strategic execution.

  • Built Shalom Austin's Disability & Inclusion function from an identified service gap into an established strategic resource supporting four organizational agencies and multiple enterprise-wide priorities.

  • Currently provide organization-wide leadership across a multi-agency nonprofit environment, advising executive leaders and collaborating across departments.

  • Leadership through employees, managers, seasonal personnel, volunteers, AmeriCorps members, interns, and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience building and developing a function rather than simply inheriting an established department.

Financial & Resource Stewardship

  • Directed a $2.8M infrastructure-renovation project as COO/VP.

  • Managed an annual internal budget of $1.7M while advising on external organizational budgets ranging from $113K to $5.2M. Combined budget influence totaled approximately $9.17M, including planning, prioritization, monitoring, compliance, and resource allocation.

  • Experience with budget development, allocation, monitoring, prioritization, and resource alignment.

  • Experience balancing mission priorities, operational constraints, stakeholder needs, and available resources.

Program Design, Growth & Impact

I specialize in the upstream work of program leadership: identifying needs, imagining possibilities, designing systems, aligning resources, building partnerships, establishing measures of success, and continuously improving the model.

  • Built and launched programs in response to identified community and organizational needs.

  • Designed programs from needs identification → concept → planning → resource allocation → implementation → evaluation → refinement.

  • Directed workforce-development programming with measurable outcomes including 71% graduation, 100% employment placement within 30 days, and 80% retention at 120 days.

  • Supported 39% growth in youth program participation over two years while increasing completion from 80.5% to 96%.

  • Launched inclusive youth programming achieving 99% participant/family satisfaction in inaugural series and 82% repeat registration for fall.

  • Developed responsive employment-readiness curriculum and program infrastructure.

  • Experience evaluating programs and modifying design based on participation, satisfaction, outcomes, and stakeholder feedback.

Systems, Strategy & Organizational Development

  • Built a newly established organizational function from an identified service gap into a strategic organizational pillar.

  • Developed policies, processes, frameworks, training, and operational infrastructure to support organizational priorities.

  • Led continuous-improvement efforts across programs and organizational systems.

  • Translated strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, measures, and implementation plans.

  • Experience diagnosing systems that are not working effectively and redesigning them for greater clarity, accessibility, efficiency, and impact.

Stakeholder & Governance Leadership

Much of my leadership work occurs in environments where success depends on aligning people with different responsibilities, priorities, expertise, and sources of authority.

Experience partnering with and advising executive leadership teams, nonprofit boards and committees, elected officials, government agencies, legal counsel, educators, employers, community organizations, funders, donors, volunteers, families, and youth-serving professionals.

Professional Development, Education & Public Speaking

I am at my best when I can translate complex ideas, engage an audience, and move people from understanding to action.

  • Designed and delivered professional development for 200+ professionals last year.

  • Present to audiences of 80+ camp professionals and 120+ educators annually.

  • Developed training on accessibility, disability inclusion, ADA considerations, inclusive practices, and organizational implementation.

  • Designed customized leadership-development workshops, retreats, and executive-learning experiences.

  • Experience translating complex concepts into practical tools for executives, staff, volunteers, educators, and community audiences.

  • BFA Musical Theatre + MEd Special Education — combining formal training in performance, communication, education, and leadership.
